COS Quantitative Science Team Shines at JSM Virtual Event: A Deep Dive into Imputation Strategies

Keeping this in mind, it brings immense pride to highlight the recent achievements of our COS Quantitative Science Team, which was prominently featured at the prestigious Joint Statistical Meeting (JSM) virtual event.


Spotlight on the Presentation

Their presentation focused on a study entitled, “Imputation Strategies within the Estimand Framework to Evaluate the Overall Likelihood of Patient Improvement in Longitudinal Trials”. The work, authored by L. Floden, H. Yu, S. Hudgens, and M. Bell, delved deep into the challenges and methodologies associated with imputation strategies.

In clinical outcomes research, missing data and patient drop-outs are common occurrences. This often makes the subsequent data analysis challenging and potentially less reliable. Therefore, the role of imputation — a method to replace missing data with substituted values — becomes indispensable.
